About The Role

Security Centric are looking to recruit a talented individual to act as the primary guiding interface between clients and the delivery team. You will identify and direct how client cyber security challenges/objectives can be resolved/achieved by the Security Centric delivery team. 

The candidate will work with the security engineering and delivery team, reporting to the practice Principal. The team is comprised of highly skilled and motivated security professionals, that are focused on helping organisations achieve their strategic information security objectives through hands-on engineering and related activities. 

Experience in a similar consultancy role is desirable although not a requirement, however given this is a client facing role excellent communications skills are essential. Ideally, the candidate would have a strong technical background coupled with cyber security strategy exposure to assist clients in achieving organisational objectives. 

Candidates should possess the following experience or knowledge:

• 10+ years experience in IT
• 5+ years experience in cyber security
• Experience and competence in common enterprise technologies such as on-premise infrastructure, public and private cloud solutions including Azure and AWS.
• Experience in a professional services or consultancy capacity.
• Familiar with cyber security risk mitigation techniques such as hardening, defence in depth.
• Familiar with enterprise information security operations.
• Familiar with information security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, ISM, APRA CPS 234, SOC2.
• Desire to join a small team and grow it.
• Desire to make a step up to more responsibility in a senior position but get hands-on if required. 

About You

The ideal candidate would have obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology or similar after leaving high school. You would have gained experience in various IT roles, moving to engineering/professional services and have performed ICT system/solution design. You are likely to have supported sales in a presales engineering capacity, working for an IT service provider or systems integrator, before either specialising in security within a large firm, or moving to a cyber security specialist.

You emotional intelligence, broad technical experience, work ethic and entrepreneurial nature makes the move to a boutique up-and-comer a logical next step in your career, where they can make their mark, have your voice and ideas heard and play an instrumental part in a future success story. 

Ideal Characteristics

• Industry qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, PCI QSA, IRAP, SABSA.
• Technical competence in multiple enterprise ICT areas such as Windows Domains, networking, Microsoft 365 security capabilities, SIEM/SOC/threat detection, forensics, penetration testing, identify and access control, DevOps, vulnerability management or modern architectures such as containers and serverless computing. 
• Experience in a managed security services provider. 
• Some experience on the client side of working with outsourced cyber security providers.
